Personality: As the senior Weyrharper Tytan can be quite serious when it comes to training the youngsters. Outside of class, and his duties, though he is very fun-loving and relaxed. Everybody regards Tytan as a surrogate older uncle type.

Background: Tytan grew up in one of the outlying settlements surrounding Selynin Weyr. It was only by chance that he was searched as a teenager. Unfortunately shortly before he was to stand the sands he fell ill and was not able to attend the hatching. Although he didn’t suffer any long term problems from his illness Tytan had lost his desire to become a dragonrider and so pursued his other passion; becoming a Harper. To this day Tytan doesn’t regret his choice of Harpering over becoming a dragonrider for he still has much contact with them, he lives in a weyr after all. Not to mention his adoptive daughter Mirin is Whiterider to Synth.

Personality: Reelanna is a proud woman but not overly so. Some riders look down on the lowly Weyrfolk but Reelanna loves her job in the kitchens and won’t let the rider’s comments sting her. As a mother she tries to be stern but fair, knowing that soon her second child will probably Impress(just like her first) Reelanna is feeling a bit sad but carries herself well despite the fact. To support her children Reelanna has also developed a ‘blind eye’ to certain things including candidate pranks.

Background: As a girl of only 18, Reelanna fell deeply in love with a crazy blue rider named K’zon and after their first intimate encounter conceived their first son (brown rider Z’mal). Life has been rather rocky for the couple as K’zon wanted to foster the child (and later the other two) and seeing as how Reelanna was always busy in the kitchens and K’zon was a dragonrider with his own duties the children were eventually fostered out. While many parents, once the children are fostered, don’t continue to have much to do with them Reelanna made sure that all three of hers knew just how much she cared for them and eventually all three came back to live with her and K’zon. K’zon frustrated by the sudden lack in privacy left Reelanna and the kids to find his own weyr where he could have some peace, neither Reelanna nor the children cared. To this day Reelanna and K’zon still love each other but the great passion they once shared, that graced them with three kids, has faded and they are more good friends than anything else.
