Personality:Quiet, her parents died when she was 7. Shy because of the first. Smart and sweet, she is a healer and a darn good one too.

Background:Parents died when she was 7. She started to learn medicine shortly after their death. Marina has stayed alone since her parents death. Her only family member is in a far away hold. Her mom was a healer and her father a harper. Marina misses her parents greatly, but has thought of them less since she decided to stay at the Weyr. She never dared to hope that she would impress.

Appearance: short mousey brown hair, lithe but not very strong. She has deep brown eyes, and a nose which is slightly crooked. She liked her hair, which used to be her best feature until she cut off her long tresses because it got in the way when cleaning Kelyth, and wouldn't fit under a helmet properly.

Personality: R'na is very self conscious, and knows that she is not pretty, but is a lot more sure of herself now in the weyr than she was before she was Searched. One of the reasons that she had liked her long hair was that it gave her something to hide behind. Since she had Impressed Kelyth, then her confidence had growen to such an extent that she had even begun to allow herself to have feelings towards other people, without the automatic assumption that she would be rejected. And she was beginning to have real feelings towards another weyrling.

History: Born in Selynin Hold, an unremarkable daughter to unremarkable parents, she had grown up in the middle of a large family, where no-one had the time to spend on helping a little girl become a young woman. It was not until she was Searched two years ago by a visiting dragonrider,a and taken to Selynin Weyr that R'na had ever had any confidence to speak her mind or had posesscians of her own. At first then she had lived a similar life in the Weyr as she had in the Hold. Until the day of Impression, when Kelyth had chosen to girl to be her soulmate, and rider. Since then many have commented on R'na's development from a girl into a young woman. She just hoped that one individual saw her that way.
